one-pot pasta with peas

super fast recipe, perfect for spring, the season of fresh peas, but good all year around with frozen peas!

quantities for 2 abundant portions

ingredients


  • peas: 300g (fresh or frozen)
  • onion: 1
  • short pasta: 220g (we used caserecce, but use any pasta you like, we only advise against using long pasta like spaghetti)
  • extra-virgin olive oil
  • salt and pepper

for extra taste, add some saffron!

precedure


  1. thinly slice the onion.

  2. warm some olive oil and sauté the onion.

  3. when your onion is soft add the peas to pot.

  4. after a couple of minutes add the pasta, the salt, and cover everything with water.

  5. let it cook at high heat for the cooking time of the pasta.

  6. add black pepper, serve, and enjoy!
