protein banana bread

this banana bread combines wheat and chickpea flours to optimize protein quality, while still being delicious. in this recipe, wheat and chickpea proteins complement each other bringing all the essential amino acids needed by our body, in the optimal proportion.

ingredients


  • large black bananas: 3
  • sunflower oil or other seed oil: 70g
  • sugar: 35g
  • plain flour: 150g
  • chickpeas flour 75g
  • baking powder: 3 table spoons
  • cinnamon: 3 tea spoons (optional)
  • dried fruits or chopped nuts: 50g (optional)

procedure


  1. heat oven to 200C static or 180C with fan.

  2. mix all the ingredients one by one in a blender, in the order: starting with bananas and finishing with chopped nuts.

  3. pour the the mix in an oiled, lined loaf tin.

  4. cook for 20 minutes at 200C or 180C fan.

  5. check and cover with foil if the cake is browning.

  6. cook for another 20 minutes at 200C or 180C fan.
